Simon Bushell - Assistant Headteacher
My name is Simon Bushell and I currently cover teaching in years 2, 3 and 5. This is my fifth year teaching at St Francis where until recently I have mostly taught in Upper Key Stage 2.
My role is very varied, and I am the subject lead on both maths and computing (having previously lead on PE). I take an active role in the school community, helping out whenever I can at school discos, sports days and being the target of wet sponges at the school fete! I am passionate about raising the expectations of all children and a fervent believer in the power of education to change lives. I love giving the children of St Francis a wide range of new experiences both within school and on educational visits. I recognise the importance of strong governance in supporting to make the school an even finer place for all our families and colleagues to attend.
