    The LGB is made up of:

    Charlotte Al Qadi

    All four of my children have attended St Francis, my eldest having started in Reception in 2011 and my youngest in 2021. I became a Parent LGB Member at the end of 2023 and sit on the Ethos Committee. I hope that my experience in the education sector will be useful to the school and I aim to help parents voice their opinions. Do feel free to stop me for a chat on the school run!

    James Thorniley - LGB Chair

    I have two daughters at St Francis and have been a governor since 2023. I have a background in software engineering and joined the governing board as I wanted to help the school serve the community. I'm currently Chair of the Local Governing Body and the Health and Safety Governor. I am also an Oxford City Councillor for Lye Valley ward as of May 2026.

     
    Robert McDougall

    My daughter started in reception in September 2020 and I applied to become a parent governor soon after. I sit on the curriculum committee, am the governor sponsor for science and sit on the headteacher appraisal committee. I hope that my experience and skills that I bring from my role as a local government officer can help in some way to the smooth running of the school and to the achievement of it's aims and ambitions. Please feel free to stop me to chat at anytime!

    Anne Kenyon

    Anne Kenyon is Teacher Training Tutor at Magdalen College School, where she teaches Latin and Greek. She also coordinates MCS' Community Service Organisation and is delighted to be more closely involved with St Francis now as an LGB Member. Born in Germany, Anne grew up in London with stints in schools in Germany and Spain. She has a particular interest in the professional development of teachers.

     

    Foundation LGB Members(appointed by the Diocese)

    Lesley Williams

    I became a Foundation LGB Member at St Francis, representing the Parish of Cowley in 2014. I live in Church Cowley and worship at St James Church, Beauchamp Lane but also occasionally at St Francis. My career has been in primary education, including headship at Chalgrove, but latterly Extended Schools Coordinator for the Headington Schools Partnership and also working with other Oxford schools on arts projects – particularly Cowley Road Carnival and the Light Night lantern procession.

    As a member of the Curriculum committee and a task group looking at the faith aspects of school life, I am committed to contributing to the ongoing development of St Francis school, ensuring the best opportunities for pupils, families, staff and the community. I have responsibility for SEN and Pupil Premium.

    I also lead the team that brings 'Open the Book' to assemblies fortnightly, telling stories from the Bible.
